Eula Katherine Turner White of Selmer, Tennessee, was born on December 1, 1923, in Limestone County, Alabama, to the late Henry Manson Turner and Annie Bell Bates Turner. She was united in marriage to Kelmer C. White on August 4, 1943. Mr. White preceded her in death on June 3, 200l. She was a retired retail sales associate with the J. C. Penney Company. She was a member of Fourth Street Church of Christ in Selmer and a former Pink Lady volunteer at the then McNairy County General Hospital.
Mrs. White passed from this life on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at Regional Hospital of Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 84 years, 7 months, and 21 days.
Survivors are her two daughters, Delores Meek and husband Nathan of Selmer, and Kay Collins and husband Ron of Woodridge, Illinois; two sisters, Mary Frances Prater of Hartselle, Alabama, and Edith Jewell Prater of Huntsville, Alabama; a brother, Henry Alton Turner of Franklin, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Anita Meek Stevens, Nathan Dwain Meek, Jr., Elaine Collins Maurer, and Kimberly Anne Collins; four great-grandchildren, Jessica Lauren Stevens, Megan Alece Stevens, Magnolia Ann Maurer, and Corissa Marie Maurer.
Also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Other than her husband and parents, Mrs. White was also preceded in death by a sister, Leona Pauline Muse, and four brothers, Artie Roe Turner, Theo Darce Turner, Edward Darby Turner, and Thomas Eugene Turner.
