Eugene Todd Whitten

Eugene Todd Whitten of Selmer departed this life on January 1, 2013 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 48 Years, 9 Months, 26 Days. He was born on March 6, 1964 in Memphis, TN the son of the late William Franklin and Loretta Sue Woods Whitten.Eugene was a faithful member of Fourth Street church of Christ in Selmer. He regularly mailed cards for his church to individuals celebrating a special occasion in their lives, a get well wish to someone sick, or a card expressing care and sympathy in the death of a loved one. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He is survived by a sister, Druscilla Arnold of Selmer, TN and a brother, William Jeffrey Whitten of Selmer. He is also survived by 4 nephews, 3 great nieces, 2 great nephews, and a host of extended family and friends. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer with Jeremy Weekley officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children\'s Research Hospital in Memphis.
