Ethel Louise Young

Mrs. Young died Friday afternoon, May 30, 2008 at Bolivar General Hospital.
She was born in Toone, the daughter of the late Redell Columbus Young and Maggie Elizabeth Smith Young. She was the widow of James Edward Young, who died July 1, 1993. Mrs. Young lived in Memphis for several years before returning to this area in 1945. She was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church and loved gardening and flowers. She had worked at Kilgore Corporation for 18 years as an assembler in the cap shop.
Survivors are 3 daughters, Carolyn Taylor and Nell Jones, both of Toone and Margie Burnette of Middleton; 2 sons, Carl Wade Young of Bolivar and Charles David Young of Eustis, Florida; 17 grandchildren, Phillip Wayne, Greg, Carl, Jr., and James Young, Lisa Dixon, Connie Braswell, Aaron Jr. Burnette, Cindy Lewis, Michael Young, Candy Barnhill, Megan Young, Ashley Barrett, Kenneth Edward, Timothy Allan and Anthony Wayne Jones, Reba Knight and Linda Johannes; 32 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Jimmy; a grandson, Jerry and all of her brothers and sisters.
