Esther Wheeler

Mrs. Wheeler passed away Monday, April 28 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The widow of Samuel Arthur Wheeler, Jr., who died on March 28, 2002, she was the retired owner/operator of Bolivar Florist and former secretary for many years at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar. She was the daughter of the late R. V. and Ona Phillips Siler and lived all of her life here in the county. She was a member of Bolivar First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Martha Wheeler Alford of Bolivar; a granddaughter and her husband, Rebecca Street Hodge and Tony of Bolivar; a grandson, Sam Alford of Murfreesboro; a brother, Phillip Odell Siler of Buena Park, California; two half brothers, Charles William Siler of Bethel Springs and Raymond Siler, Jr. of Silerton; and a half sister, Mary Siler Hatch of Bethel Springs. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard and Udell Siler and two sisters, Effie Freeman and Virginia Desbien.
