Estel Juanita Hughes

Services for Juanita Hughes, age 81, of Waynesboro, TN will be Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 11:00 am at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Waynesboro with Bobby Pinckley officiating. Burial will be in Restview Cemetery in Loretto, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 28, 2006 from 2 pm to 9 pm and Wednesday, November 29, 2006 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home. She died on Sunday, November 26, 2006 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN.



Mrs. Hughes, a native of Loretto, TN, was a retired cook at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro and was a member of Wayne Furnace Church of Christ. She was a daughter of the late Mack Ayers and Lizzie E. Scott Ayers Nuszbaum, the wife of the late Thomas O’Neal Hughes, and a sister of the late Burleson, W. C., and Leon Ayers and Faye Dedrick.



Survivors, sons, Thomas L. Hughes, Loretto, TN, Buddy, Jerry Dale, and Donnie Hughes, all of Waynesboro, TN, Billy Hughes, Pulaski, TN, daughters, Cathy Skelton, Waynesboro, TN, Anita Jackson, Pulaski, TN, sisters, Sue Johnson, Panama City, FL, Sylvia Kilburn, Madison Heights, MI, nineteen grandchildren and several step-grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
