Ernestine Rogers Jordanwas born in Louin, Mississippi on January 14, 1908 the daughter of the late William Pierce and Minnie Simmons Rogers.On September 20, 1928 she was united in marriage to Hollis D. Jordan, who preceded her in death on August 11, 1995.During her life she had lived in Louin, Mississippi, Collins, Mississippi, Memphis, Tennessee, and Pickwick Dam, Tennessee. She had worked with her husband at Colonial Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee and Salem Baptist Church in Collins, Mississippi. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Counce.Mrs. Jordan departed this life on February 20, 2008 at the age of 100 years, 1 month, 6 days.She is survived by 1 daughter: Amy Terry and her husband Raymond of Pickwick Dam, Tennessee; 1 son: William M. Jordan and his wife Sharon of Saulsbury, Tennessee; 1 brother: Sam Rogers of Morton, Mississippi; 4 grandchildren: Brandon Jordan, Bradley Jordan, Brian Jordan, Tammy Carroll; 6 great-grandchildren: Wesley Jordan, Cassidy Jordan, Branson Jordan, Savannah Jordan, Joshua Carroll, Hannah Carroll.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 brother, 4 sisters, 1 grandson: Raymond E. Terry, Jr.
