Ernest L. King

Mr. King passed away Saturday at Bolivar General Hospital.



The husband of Bess King, who survives, he was a truck driver for over forty years, previously driving for PDQ in Jackson and then becoming owner/operator of his own truck. He was born Dec. 24, 1937, in Hardeman County, son of the late Ernest Nunnery King and Annie Bee Cisco King and lived most of his life here. He served in the US Air Force and was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church.



In addition to his wife, whom he married on August 24, 1985, survivors include three daughters, Nancy Morris of Henderson, Gina Adams of Madison, AL, and Kelia Ingram of Henderson; three sons, David Owens of Medon, Ashley McLeWayne of Lexington and Eric King of McKenzie; four sisters, Lorraine Daniel, Juanita Overton and Jean Perdue, all of Bolivar and Judy Wilson and her husband, Bob, of Medon; 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Phillips, two brothers, Vernice and Bobby King; and two brother in laws, Nathan Overton and Bob Daniel.
