Ernest Edward Davis

Ernest Edward Davis was born September 23, 1938 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late Edd and Maggie Cummings Davis.He was united in marriage to Doris Plunk on May 23, 1959. Mrs. Davis preceded him in death on April 21, 2001.Mr. Davis was a pipefitter, having retired after 30 years of service. He was a Baptist in beliefMr. Davis departed this life on November 17, 2007 in Whiteville, North Carolina at the age of 69 Years, 1 Month, 25 Days. He is survived by two daughters, Zronda Dawson and husband Richard and Regina L. Davis, all of Leland, NC; four sisters, Edna Elliott of Ramer, TN, Ruby Thacker of Michie, TN, Peggy Moss of Ramer, TN and Jo Ann Bevins of Michie, TN; a brother, Jackie Davis of Crump, TN; and friend, John Dawson of Leland, NC. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Davis in June of 1970, and a brother, Ray Davis.
