Era Sanders

Era Sanders was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on September 16, 1922 the daughter of the late William and Bess Poole Strickland.Mrs. Sanders was a secretary for the U.S. Government before retiring. In addition to Hardin County, Mrs. Sanders had lived in Memphis, Tennessee for 40 years. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, watching TV Channel 18, and being with other people. She attended the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Sanders departed this life on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at the age of 86 years, 1 month, 7 days.Mrs. Sanders is survived by a brother: R.E. Strickland of Savannah, Tennessee; a sister: Sue Majors of Savannah, Tennessee; 1 nephew and 2 nieces.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death her husband, Harold Sanders; a son: Barry Sanders; a sister: Ruth Pinner.
