Equille Bernice Porter Sims

Equille Bernice Porter Sims, 70, of Oakland, died Thursday
morning, April 14, 2005 at the Methodist Hospital in Fayette
County .
The widow of Thaddeus M. Sims, who died November 26, 2004
after 48 years of marriage, she had retired as a medical secretary.
Mrs. Sims was born November 25, 1934 in Middleton, daughter of
the late James Thomas Porter and Autle Grantham Porter and had
lived in Memphis for 28 years before making her home in Oakland.
She was a member of the Bolivar Church of Christ and Eastern
Star #402 since 1952.
Services were 3 PM Sunday, April 17 at Shackelford Funeral
Directors Bolivar chapel with Leo Powers officiating. Burial was in
Reaves Cemetery near Middleton.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan S. Neal of Douglasville,
Penn. and Judy A. Sims of Memphis and two grandchildren,
Lauren and Sean Neal, both of Douglassville, Penn.
