Emogene S. Collier, 77, of Middleton, died Monday, March 28, 2005 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The widow of L. T. Collier, who died in 1959, she was a production
worker at Kilgore from 1960-76. Mrs. Collier was born April 4, 1927 in Hardeman County, daughter of the late Vernon Thomas Stricklin and Emma Rogers Stricklin, and lived in Hardeman County until 1999 when she made her home in Jackson. She served in WAC from 1948-58, was a member of New Hope Church of Christ and also attended Middleton Church of Christ.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 30 at Shackelford's chapel in Bolivar with Craig Shackleford officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery near Middleton.
Survivors include one daughter, Jeannie Collier Coughlin and her
husband, Chris of Jackson; one sister-in-law, Dorene Stricklin of
Fayetteville, Ark.; one aunt, Margaret Rogers Nigh of League City,
Tex.; one grandson, Greg Coughlin and one granddaughter, Katie
Coughlin.
