Emmett C. Taylor

Emmett C. Taylor was born July 21, 1907 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late Oscar A. and Vera Moore Taylor. He was united in marriage to his Wife Ilene Swain Taylor, whom preceded him in death.Mr. Taylor was a Construction Superintendent for Ford Construction Company in Dyersburg, TN. A Charter member of Unity Baptist Church in Ramer, TN. Served as mayor of Ramer for 4 terms. Woodmen of World member. Former member of Ramer Ruritan and Lions Clubs. Taught Sunday School for 50 plus years.He departed this life on April 21, 2006 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 98 Years, 9 Months.Mr. Taylor is survived by Four Daughters, Pat Elam of Ramer, TN, Kaye Lawless of Ramer, TN, Betty Huggins of Memphis, TN and Mary Jean Miller of Ramer, TN, A Son Tom Taylor of Selmer, TN.
