Emma Jean Petty

Emma Jean North Petty was born July 10, 1926 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Carlos and Dola Bowen North.On May 11, 1942, she was united in marriage to George Petty who preceded her in death on June 1, 2006.Mrs. Petty was a member of the Gravel Hill Baptist Church in Eastview, Tennessee. She was a homemaker and a former clerk at various women\'s retail clothing stores, she was also a wonderful seamstress.Mrs. Petty departed this life on June 6, 2006 in Gravel Hill, Tennessee at the age of 79 Years, 10 Months, 27 Days. She is survived by two daughters, Sue Moore of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Melanie Rickman of Jackson, Tennessee; two sons, Danny Petty of Ramer, Tennessee and Benny L. Petty of College Station, Texas; three brothers, Billy North of Tremont, Mississippi, Charles Zelford North of Vancouver, Washington and Howard Burchel North of Portland, Oregon; 9 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Petty was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva Helwig.
