Emma Nell McCasland

Emma Nell Shelby McCaslandwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on November 28, 1929, the daughter of the late Bert and Daisy McCollum Shelby.Mrs. McCasland had worked as a towboat cook and retired from Angelica. She was a long-time resident of Hardin County and attended the Russell Chapel Methodist Church.She departed this life on August 11, 2007 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 8 Months, 14 Days.Mrs. McCasland is survived by her children: Gary McCasland of Florida, Sandra McCasland Blount wife of Tommy Blount of Savannah, Tennessee;3 Grandsons: Jason Blount, Michael Blount, and Joshua McCasland all of Savannah, Tennessee; 4 Great-Granchildren: T.J. Blount, Sarah Blount, Will Blount and Chloe Blount and a host of nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents Bert and Daisy McCollum Shelby, she was preceded in death by her husband W.A. McCasland, her son David McCasland, her brothers James Hollis Shelby and J.D. Shelby, and her sister Ida Jean Counce.
