Mrs. Cleek passed away Wednesday night at her home.
A native of Mercer, TN, Mrs. Cleek lived most of her life in Hardeman County except for 12 years in Jackson. She had lived in Medon since 1965. She was the daughter of the late Chester and Louetter Hardee McCarver and married M. K. "Kenneth" Cleek on August 25, 1951. She was a member of Northside Assembly of God in Jackson and had worked as a beautician for 34 years.
In addition to her husband, she leaves a daughter Debbie (Mike) Dixon of Memphis; two sons, Dewayne (Pat) Cleek of Humboldt and Ron (Tricia) Cleek of Springfield, MO; a sister, Louise Whaley of Jackson and a brother, Earl McCarver of Bolivar; seven grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Loudell Hammers and Betty Ruth Cupples; and two brothers, Odell and Tommy McCarver.
