Emily Rebecca "Becky" Daniel Gobble

Emily Rebecca “Becky” Daniel Gobble, age 74, of St. Joseph, TN, passed away on January 14, 2025. She was born on November 4, 1950, in Wayne County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Grady and Lazelle Kelso Daniel. Becky shared a beautiful 55-year marriage with her devoted husband, Calvin Gobble, a partnership built on love and shared dreams. Her entrepreneurial spirit shone through as she owned and operated Gobble’s Star Market in St. Joseph, TN, followed by Gobble’s Foodland in Loretto, TN, and Piggly Wiggly in Greenhill, AL. Throughout her endeavors, Becky’s warmth and kindness touched the lives of countless customers and colleagues, leaving a lasting legacy of compassion and connection in her community. In her leisure time, Becky found joy in traveling to new places, tending to her vibrant flower gardens, and capturing life’s precious moments through photography, especially of her beloved flowers and grandchildren. Her passion for beauty and family was evident in everything she did. As we remember Becky, we celebrate a life filled with love, joy, and an unwavering spirit. Her memory will continue to bloom in the hearts of family and friends, reminding us all of the beauty she brought into our lives.

She is survived by her husband, Calvin Gobble; daughters, Crystal Gobble Yates (Jay), and Sabrina Gobble Hanson (John); brothers, Roger Daniel (Fran), Kirk Daniel (Nancy), and Lewis Daniel; brothers-in-law, David Warren, Harold Gobble, Jerry Gobble (Teri), and Terry Gobble (Melissa); and sisters-in-law, Mabellene Daniel (Roy), and Peggy Holt Prater (Ronnie); and grandchildren, Asa Hanson, Savannah Hanson, John Allen Yates, Christopher Yates, and Elizabeth Yates. 

In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her sister, Connie Warren. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm service time at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN with Asa Hanson and John Allen Yates officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens of Wayne County in Collinwood, TN.
