Memorial services for Emilio Chiodo, age 77, of Rayburn Creek Rd, Collinwood, TN will be 6:30 pm Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Houston Baptist Church with Carroll Littrell officiating. His remains were cremated.
Mr. Chiodo was born in Bradford, PA to the late Santo Chiodo and Concetta Cardimone Chiodo. He served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Coral Sea. Mr. Chiodo was a graduate of University of Pittsburgh receiving a degree in engineering. He was a senior member of Society of Manufacturing Engineers, past president and member of Lions Club, and past president LaStella Italian American Club. He also was a Vocational Education Instructor and was elected Township Auditor, Foster Township,
all in Bradford, PA. He and his wife had made their home in Wayne County for the past 16 years. Mr. Chiodo loved landscaping, oil painting, and gardening. He always tried to give back to the community and those that were in need.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marilyn M. Chiodo of
Collinwood, TN; sons Santo Chiodo and his wife Annie of Waynesboro, TN, Emilio Chiodo, Jr. and his wife Mary Christine of Columbia, MD and a daughter, Cynthia Chiodo of Jacksonville, FL; 2 grandchildren, Christopher Lucco and Christa Lucco Coppella; great grandchildren, Jacob Lucco, Taylor Lucco, Alex Coppella, Victoria Coppella, Elizabeth Coppella, and Theresa Powers;
Sister, Mary Nice and her husband, Mike of Kennett Square, PA and brothers, Samuel Chiodo and his wife Marilyn of Long Island, NY, and Michael Chiodo and his wife Nancy of Fort Washington, PA.
