Elverette Lee Hammwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on December 9, 1941 the son of the late Shermon M. and Agness Ruth Kiddy Hamm.On December 23, 1968 he was united in marriage to Mary Diann Peters, who survives.Mr. Hamm had worked for Garan Inc., USA Classic, and the City of Crump. He enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, gardening, and was a former baseball coach. He lived in the New Hope community and was a member of the New Hope Fellowship Church.Mr. Hamm departed this life on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the age of 67 years, 5 months, 21 days.In addition to his wife, Mr. Hamm is survived by a daughter, Janie Stutts of Adamsville, Tennessee; a son, Tommy Hamm of Adamsville, Tennessee; 2 sisters, Annie Mae Carson of Stantonville, Tennessee and Barbara Parrott of Adamsville, Tennessee; a brother, Larry Jr. Hamm of Adamsville, Tennessee; 3 grandchildren, Emily Stutts, Lori Stutts, and Davey Stutts; 2 great-grandchildren, Caraline Stutts and Haylee Stutts.In addition to his parents, Mr. Hamm was preceded in death by a grandchild, Oliver Shermon Stutts.
