She was born in Hardin County, TN the daughter of the late John and Callie Bowen Turner. She attended school in Hardin County and was married to Paul Copeland in 1936. They made their home in the Jacks Creek area of Chester County, where they farmed. Mr. Copeland died in 1957. She was employed at Salant and Salant Mfg. as a seamstress working for over thirty years. She enjoyed quilting and sewing for the public. She was married to W.C. Patterson in 1972 and made her home in Henderson since that time. Mr. Patterson died in 1985. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. She is survive by a daughter, Peggy Cearley and husband Charles of Henderson and Donna Dianne Weston and husband Jeff of Columbia, TN; two sons, J.C. Copeland and wife Brenda of Henderson and Wayne Copeland of Hollywood, AL; step children, Larry Patterson of VA, Jerry Patterson of South Carolina, David Patterson of Jackson, TN and Cheryl Kay Patterson of GA; two sisters, Marie Ramsey of AR and Betty Knight of Clarksville, TN; ten grandchildren and six step grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
