Elsie Mae Andrew

Funeral services for Elsie Mae Pope Andrew, age 93, of Waynesboro was One p.m. Saturday, August 19, 2006 at H.M. Patterson and Son Funeral Home in Marietta, Georgia. Interment was in Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.



Mrs. Andrew, a native of Atlanta, GA, died on Thursday, August 17, 2006 at Wayne County Nursing Home in Waynesboro. She was the daughter of the late George Henry and Minnie Chandler Pope. She was preceded in death by her husband James W. Andrew, Sr.; brother, George Pope, and a sister, Mary P. Higginbotham. She was retired from the City of Atlanta where she calculated the benefits and counseled all city employees regarding their pension benefits, including the Atlanta Police and Fire Department.



Mrs. Andrew was a member of the Ruth Bible Class and Joy Club, and a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Riverdale, GA.



Survivors include two sons, James Andrew, Jr, and his wife Joan of Reston, VA; Michael Andrew and his wife Cindy of Suwanee, GA; two daughters, Louise Nutt and her husband Carl Max of Waynesboro, TN and Barbara A. Nutt and her husband Harold G. of Waynesboro, TN; sister, Thelma P. Fleischer of Fayetteville, GA, 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
