Eloise Harris, 77, of Toone, died Friday, July 21, 2006 at Jackson-Madison County Transitional Care.
Born October 12, 1928, to George H. and Erkette Lambert Dorris, she was the widow of Ralph Harris who died November 13, 1998. She had worked for Kilgore, the Hardeman County Board of Education and Bolivar Elementary. A member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, she had lived her entire life in Hardeman County.
Survivors included two daughters, Carolyn Moss of Bolivar and Dianne Kington of Toone; three sisters, Anna Laura Dorris of Bolivar, Betty Jean Rainey of Arvada, CO, and Joyce Jewell of Memphis; five grandchildren, Chad, Brian, and Scotty Moss, Jay and Jennifer Kington; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 - 4 pm Monday, at Shackelford Funeral Home in Bolivar. Her funeral will be at 4 pm Monday at Shackelford's Bolivar chapel with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery. Bertie Moore will officiate.
