Elmer Clay Shelton

Elmer Clay Shelton was born April 18, 1925 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late John G. Shelton and the late Ethel Clara Bell Shelton. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Dickey Shelton. Mrs. Shelton preceded him in death on July 24, 2000. He was a World War II Army Veteran and a farmer and sawmill worker.Mr. Shelton departed this life on Saturday, December 10, 2005 , at his residence in Ramer, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 7 Months, 22 Days.Survivors are his children Julia Steward of Chewalla, Tennessee, Patricia Butler of Guys, Tennessee, Loretta Crum of Corinth, Mississippi, Sheila Howell of Chewalla, Tennessee, Ronnie Shelton of Chewalla, Tennessee, Keith Shelton of Chewalla, Tennessee, siblings Mattie Whitaker of Michie, Tennessee, Johnnie Rushing of Southaven, Mississippi, Metra King of Southaven, Mississippi, Edith McClain of Holly Springs, Mississippi, Willie Shelton of Chewalla, Tennessee, Grover Shelton of Norco, California, 8 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren.Other than parents and wife, also preceded in death by a sonRichard Devers, and a brother Leslie Clarence Shelton.
