Elmer J. Morris

Mr. Elmer “Mousey” Morris was born January 1, 1926 in Wayne County, TN to the union of the late John and Minnie Pope Morris. Mr. Morris was a Production Laborer at Angelica, Genesco, Tennessee Apparel and a bus driver for the school in Clifton and a member at Beech Creek Full Gospel Church. He was united in marriage to Nellie Frances Warren on September 13, 1947. Mr. Morris departed this life on April 24, 2019 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee making his stay in this life some 93 Years, 3 Months, and 23 Days.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Nellie Frances Warren Morris of Waynesboro, TN; a son, Earl Junior Morris and wife Becky of Waynesboro, TN; a daughter, Helen Frances Sharp and husband Lonnie of Flatwoods, TN; grandchildren: Angie Rosson and husband William of Duck River, TN; Darrel Reeves and wife Deena of Hohenwald, TN; Keith Reeves and wife Chanda of Hohenwald, TN; Scotty Morris of Paris, TN; Sonya Clayton and husband Chuck of Henry County, TN; Kevin Morris and wife Janean of Huntingdon, TN; Kristy Crews and husband Michael of Paris, TN; Ann Hammack of Waynesboro, TN; Pam Melson of Waynesboro, TN; Sha Nix and husband Tommy of Lawrenceburg, TN; and Raymond Morris of Waynesboro, TN. Mr. Morris is also survived by 31 Great Grandchildren, 19 Great-Great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Morris was preceded in death by a son, James Floyd Morris; five brothers, Jessie Morris, Coy Morris, Ed Morris, Fred Morris, Roy Morris; and a sister, Opal Pulley.

Services will be held on April 27, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors at Waynesboro in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Bobby Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in the Worley Cemetery at Waynesboro, Tennessee
