Ellis Tucker

ELLIS TUCKER



was born on July 5, 1927, Hardin County, Tennessee to the late Charles Bailey and Mary Polk Tucker.



On January 20, 1952, he married Helen Joyce Easley.



Ellis served his country in the United States Army National Guard. He worked as a millwright for twelve years at Youngstown Sheet & Tube located in Gary, Indiana. He retired from LTV Steel in Counce, Tennessee in 1989. He was a member of the Pickwick Church of Christ and the United Steelworkers Union. He enjoyed his work as a millwright and he also enjoyed farming.



Ellis departed this on January 2, 2013 at the age of 85 years, 5 months and 28 days.



In addition to his wife, Joyce, he is survived by three daughters, Kathy Tucker Brewington and her husband Rickie of Florence, Alabama, Becky Tucker Bray of Corinth, Mississippi, and Janice Tucker Kinniburgh, and her husband, Kent of Water Valley, Mississippi, and two sons, James Tucker and David Allan Tucker, both of Savannah, Tennessee.



Six sisters, Irene Coghlan, Ruth Sorensen both of Alavhu, Florida, Helen Gannon of Savannah, Tennessee, Betty Rogers of Okolona, Mississippi, Frances Rignola of Patchogue, New York, and Wilma Clark of Huntsville, Alabama. Three brothers, Charles Tucker of Florida, Travis Tucker of Lowell, Indiana and Edward Tucker of West Memphis, Arkansas.



Seven grandchildren, Anthony Brewington, Melanie Brewington Gray, Valerie Bray, Derreck Teague, Ashley Bailey, Tiffany Tucker and Marianna Kinniburgh. Nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.



In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Janell Ferraro and a brother, Roy Tucker and a grandchild, Tyler Tucker.
