Ellen Cooksey

Ellen Cooksey was born August 7, 1914 in Hardin County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Iva Washington and Letha Hopper White. She was united in marriage to Leo Tom Cooksey on August 17, 1930. Mr.Cooksey preceded her in death on December 8, 2002. Mrs. Cooksey was a housewife and member of the West Shiloh Baptist Church.Mrs. Cooksey departed this life on August 26, 2007 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 93 Years, 19 Days.She is survived by four sons, Billy Cooksey of Hartselle, Alabama, Jimmy Cooksey of Shiloh, Tennessee, Tommy Cooksey of Counce, Tennessee, and Bobby Cooksey of Shiloh, Tennessee; five sisters, Oberia Sowell, Omega Sweat, and Virginia Goodwin all of Shiloh, Tennessee, Marie Byrd of Jackson, Mississippi, and Ruth Tucker of Decaturville, Tennessee; four brothers, Charles White of Michie, Tennessee, Rayburn White of Decaturville, Tennessee, Roger White of Arkansas, and Phillip White of Texas; six grandchildren, Jim Cooksey, Andrea Pickett, Carla Qualls, Kim Williams, Kelly English, and Jeremy Cooksey; five great grandchildren, Terran Qualls, Chase Qualls, Morgan Cooksey, Drew English, and Hunter Williams.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Cooksey was preceded in death by two daughters, Josie Faye Cooksey and Ann Patterson; and six brothers.
