Ellen Estell Seaton Alexander
was born April 17, 1924 in Ittawamba County, Mississippi the daughter of the late Elbert Leonard and Clara Elva McDaniel Seaton.
She was united in marriage to Hubert Leon Alexander, who preceded her in death on November 19, 1963.
Ms. Alexander was an assembly worker at Parris Manufacturing for 10 years and a seamstress at Garan Inc for 15 years. She attended the Emmanuel Tabernacle and was of pentecostal belief. Ms. Alexander lived in the Nixon Community all of her life. She enjoyed growing and working with flowers. She loved her family and in-laws like her own children. She was not only a mother, but a friend to all her children, a peacemaker, a prayer warrior, the best mother that anyone could ask for. She was an angel.
Ms. Alexander is survived by three daughters, Patsy Harwell and husband Robert of Savannah, TN, Inez (Weeks) Yarbrough and husband Joe of Savannah, TN, Linda Rose and husband Jimmy of Savannah, TN; five sons, Melvin Alexander and wife Joy of Lexington, TN, James Gordon (Jim) Alexander and wife Alice of Henderson, TN, Floyd Alexander and wife Cathy of Adamsville, TN, Larry Alexander and wife Barbara of Savannah, TN, Tommy Alexander and wife Peggy of Omaha, NE; a brother, Dan Seaton of Savannah, TN; a sister, Vera Lewis of Tupelo, MS; 23 Grandchildren, 46 Great Grandchildren, 10 Great Great Grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs.Alexander was preceded in death by three sons, Loyd Alexander, Jerry Alexander, Bill Weeks; four brothers, Garmon Seaton, Elvis Seaton, Billy Seaton, Leonard Seaton; two sisters, Myrtle Alexander, Louise Layton; two grandchildren, John Alexander, Matthew Alexander; a great-grandchild, Shelby Lynn Rose.
