Ella Sue Hollins
was born in Athens, Alabama on April 18, 1926 the daughter of the late Lewis and Sue Ella Scruggs Holmes.
Ms. Hollins retired from Savannah Manufacturing as a machine operator, she had worked for the company for 36 years. Ms. Hollins had lived most of her life in the Savannah area and was affectionately known as "Big Mama". She enjoyed cooking, gardening, watching Gospel TV, and playing Bingo at the nursing home.
Ms. Hollins departed this life on Sunday, June 29, 2008 at the age of 82 years, 2 months, 11 days.
Ms. Hollins is survived by two daughters: Carolyn Moore and husband Jimmy of Humboldt, Tennessee, Kathy Wilkerson of Savannah, Tennessee; two sons: Gilbert Hollins and wife Dianne, David Hollins all of Savannah, Tennessee; a sister: Louise Hardy of Athens, Alabama; five grandchildren: Patty Terry, Keith Wilkerson, Shane Moore, Lisa Fasking, Chad Moore;
eight great-grandchildren: Matt Terry, Brooke Gray, Shannon Burch, Brandy Wilkerson, Tamara Fasking, Matthew Moore, Audrey Cochran, Sara Grace Moore.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Hollins was preceded in death by a three year old brother.
