Elizabeth Smith

Elizabeth Smith was born June 24, 1941 in Selmer, TN the daughter of the late Claude and Verble Locke Dillon.

She was united in marriage to Bobby Smith on April 17, 1971.

Mrs. Smith worked for Levi Strauss in Ramer for many years. She was an avid hostess of yard sales and enjoyed going to yard sales. She was a fan of the Memphis Grizzlies, diet coke, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Smith departed this life on March 6, 2023 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 81 Years, 8 Months, 10 Days. She is survived by her husband of almost 52 years, Bobby Smith of Ramer, TN; two daughters, Tammy Purtteman and husband Mark of Selmer, TN, Cindy Sweazey and partner Cody Morris of Selmer, TN; three grandchildren, Brooke Purtteman of Nashville, TN, Eric Purtteman and wife Brittany of Selmer, TN, Katie Sweazey of Ramer, TN; six great grandchildren, Drake Purtteman, Brynlee Purtteman, Ryker Purtteman, Matthew Ray, Jada Morris, McKenzie Crum; 

four sisters-in-law, Mary Frances (Fuzzy) Whitaker and husband Delane of Corinth, MS, Peggy Inman of Guys, TN, Wanda Faye Seago of Kossuth, MS, Diane Mathis of Corinth, MS; an aunt, Virgie Redmon of Selmer, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Jernigan and husband W.Q.; a brother, Willie Dillon and wife Billie; three brothers-in-law, Jerry Inman, Danny Seago, and Tommy Mathis.
