Elizabeth Carol Rouse

Elizabeth Carol Moore Rouse was born December 20, 1923 in Byrn, West Virginia, the daughter of the late James Elison and Charlotte Alice White Moore. She was united in marriage to the Rev. Frank James Rouse, Sr. on August 24, 1942 and he preceded her in death on March 18, 1986.Mrs. Rouse was a retired teacher/guidance counselor and was a member of the United Methodist Church.She departed this life on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at her daughter's home in Collinwood, Tennessee at the age of 85 years, 1 month, 30 days.She is survived by a son, Elison Rouse of Iron City, TN; two daughters, Carol Rouse Rodgers of Nashville, TN and Suzanne Rouse Roberts of Collinwood, TN; 9 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Rouse was preceded in death by a son, Frank James Rouse Jr. Services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Sonny Bogus officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 pm in the Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery at Pulaski, Tennessee. Visitation will be Friday, February 20, 2009 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, February 21, 2009 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home.
