ELIZABETH MONTGOMERY
Henderson, TN: Rebecca Elizabeth Doyle Montgomery age 90 passed away December 28, 2018 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born February 15, 1928 in Chester County, the daughter of the late Oscar and Annie K. Kirkman Doyle. She married W.C. (William Carroll) Montgomery in 1952. They made their home in Henderson. She worked at Salant & Salant for twenty-five years and then Chester County Sportswear until she retired. She was a member of the Loving Truth Church.
She was an accomplished musician loving to sing and play the guitar.
Mrs. Montgomery is survived by two sons, Sammy Montgomery and wife Patricia of Henderson and Terry Montgomery and wife Teresa of Bolivar; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband W. C. Montgomery in 1982; a son, Paul Busby in 1994; a daughter, Sheila Montgomery in 2012 and a brother, Herman Doyle.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Pastor Mike Davis and Pastor Bill Luther officiating. Burial will follow in New Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday.
