Elizabeth Shaw Butler departed this life on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at the age of 68 years, 4 months, and 18 days. She was born in Savannah, Tennessee, on September 15, 1950, the daughter of the late David P. and Lillian Stover Shaw.
Elizabeth received her master's degree in food science from the University of Tennessee. She retired from the Indianapolis, Indiana school system where she was a food service director.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Lisa Taylor of Savannah, Tennessee; niece, Sara Shaw of Boulder, Colorado; nephew, David Shaw of Franklin, Tennessee; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her brothers, David P. Shaw, Jr., William "Bill" Shaw, and Samuel Wright Shaw.
