Eleanor Durbin Smith

July 17, 1939 — June 14, 2019

Eleanor Durbin Smith was born July 17, 1939 in the Pittsburg Landing Community of Hardin County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Jesse Levi and Annie Sue Campbell Durbin.

She was united in marriage to Donald Ray Smith on November 22, 1958. Mr. Smith preceded her in death on January 8, 2010.

Eleanor enjoyed cooking, preserving garden vegetables, and sewing. She loved to watch her favorite television shows, and didn’t want anyone calling her while they were on. She was a caring neighbor to all, helping her friends when they were sick, and delivering delicious meals to them. She was known as a great cook, especially for her chicken and dumplings, blackberry cobbler, and banana pudding. She was a person who was filled with joy, always had a smile on her face, and was loved by many.

She loved seeing and spending time with her grandchildren, and her great grandson Smith was the apple of her eye.
