Eleanor Mae Crowell Leek, age 83, died January 9, 2007, at Jackson General Hospital.
She was born in McNairy County, the daughter of the late Jim and Sally Rickman Crowell. She attended school at Mt Zion at Enville. She was married to Dale Guinn and he died in 1962. She was married to Melvin Leek in 1964. They made their home in Henderson. She was employed at Oakley Fashions and later at I-Appeal Shirt Factory as a seamstress for several years. Mrs. Leek had raised her two grandsons Rodney and Buzz Lovelace and had cared for several of her grandchildren. She was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Full Gospel Church.
She is survived by a son Bobby Guinn of Camden, TN; grandchildren Buzz Lovelace, Rodney Lovelace, April Davis, Emily Guinn, Josh Guinn, Dale Guinn and Brittany Guinn; great grandchildren Whitley Lovelace, Wesley Lovelace and Clay and Riley Davis; two brothers John Crowell and wife Sue of Savannah and Albert Crowell and wife Dot of Peoria, IL.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Doris Dale Lovelace in 1993 and her husband Melvin Leek in 1997 and also two sisters Reba Nell Stanford and Betty Rose Wilkerson and a brother J. C. Crowell.
