Eleanor Virginia Harris

Eleanor Virginia Harris was born October 10, 1916 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Martin Arthur and Daphen Browder Harris.Miss Harris was a retired Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, and served in the Coast Guard prior to entering the Air Force. She also served as a clerical secretary for the War Department prior to World War II. Miss Harris was also a member of the Mid-town church of Christ in Memphis.Miss Harris departed this life on January 5, 2007 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 90 Years, 2 Months, 26 Days. She is survived by a sister, Norma Ruth Harris and a brother, Gene Paul Harris, both of Selmer, Tennessee. In addition to her parents, Miss Harris was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Henry (Polk) Harris, who was killed in Italy during World War II.
