Eldon Hopperswas born in Crockett County, Tennessee on January 17, 1942 the son of the late Alvin Walker and Eula Mae Jones Hoppers.On June 26, 1976 he was united in marriage to Shelia Etheridge, who survives.Mr. Hoppers was Self Employed as an Auctioneer for 25 years. He was the manager of John Mansfield and Vulcan Plastics in Athens, Alabama. He had also worked at Caterpillar Tractor Company in Joliet, Illinois. Mr. Hoppers enjoyed collecting antiques of all types and he made Tiffany lamps. He was a member of the Savannah Church of Christ, NAA, and the TAA.Mr. Hoppers departed this life on December 19, 2010 at the age of 68 years, 11 months, 2 days.In addition to his wife, Shelia of Finger, Tennessee, he is survived by a daughter, Yuvonda Gil of Crystal Lake, Illinois; a son, Kevin Hoppers and companion Patty of Crystal Lake, Illinois; 2 grandchildren, Tyler Gil and Paige Gil; 2 brothers, Larry Hoppers and wife Billie Jean of Gadsden, Tennessee and Troy Hoppers of Springville, Tennessee; 3 sisters, JoAnne Chapman and husband Jimmy of Springville, Tennessee, Judy Blair and Barbara Dotson both of Bells, Tennessee.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Wayne Hoppers.
