Elbert Fay Staggs

Services will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home ,Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Laverne Griggs officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens , Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements.



Mr. Staggs departed this life on Monday, March 23, 2009 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 70 Years, 13 Days. He was born March 10, 1939 in Waynesboro, Tennessee the son of the late Elmer and Kate Brooks Staggs. In addition to his parents, Mr. Staggs was preceded in death by granddaughter; Malorie Garrett; brothers, James Staggs, Leeville Staggs and Aaron Staggs; a sister, Christine Skelton



Fay was a member of the Leatherwood Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee, retired with Army National Guard with 25 years of service ; cook at the Wayne County Boot Camp and had worked with the State Highway Deptartment.



He is survived by ; his wife Charlotte Gail (Hunt) Staggs of Waynesboro, TN;



son, Jeffery Fay Staggs of Waynesboro, TN;



daughters, Sherry Rena Carroll of Waynesboro, TN, Kimberly Diane Scott of Savannah, TN, Marcie Kay Griggs of Waynesboro, TN;



grandchildren; Jessica Garrett; Brittany Littleton and Tyler Butler



great grandchildren; Brayden Littleton; Ethan Tilley and Jaylee Garrett
