Elaine King

Elaine (Polly) Hicks King was born December 3, 1924 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Arlie Marshall and Amy Skelton Hicks. She was united in marriage to Warren D. King on December 28, 1944. Mr. King preceded her in death on April 24, 1984.Mrs. King was a homemaker for her family, and was a former employee of Western Mental Health in Boliver. She formerly attended the Moore's Schoolhouse Baptist Church near Selmer. Mrs. King departed this life on February 4, 2006 in Iuka, Mississippi at the age of 81 Years, 2 Months, 1 Day. She is survived by five daughters: Janet Williams of Selmer, Tennessee, Diane Kirk and husband Terry of Pocahontas, Tennessee, Nancy Odom and husband Ronnie of Burnsville, Mississippi, Lisa Rorie and husband Earnest of Burnsville, Mississippi, and Rhonda Kiestler and husband Steve of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; a son, Roger King and wife Doris of Selmer, Tennessee; a sister, Jo Ellen Kirby and husband Billy Joe of Adamsville, Tennessee; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and spouse, Mrs. King was also preceded in death by four sons: Dwight King, Dennis King, Richard King, and Gary King; a sister, Lorraine Nederstat; and a brother, Cecil Hicks.
