Elaine Bolton

February 22, 1943 — April 3, 2006

She was a resident of St. Mary’s Manor in Jackson and a member of the Belleview Baptist Church in Memphis.



She was born and reared in McNairy County, at Finger, the daughter of the late Elmo James and Flossie Lillian Stewart Clayton. She went to school at Finger and graduated from Chester County High School in 1961 and was married to Anthony Bolton that same year. She then attended Jackson State Community College. She worked as a bank teller at Chester County Bank, and also First American Bank in Jackson and later Memphis. She moved back to Jackson in 1994 and worked at the Jackson Clinic until poor health forced her retirement in 2001.



She is survived by two daughters; Marjorie Elaine Pjontek and husband Dave of Oakland and Becky Jayne Cox and husband George of Henderson. There are three grandchildren; Allie Mei, Luke, and Steven Pjontek. She also has a brother Larry Clayton and wife Judy of Germantown and a sister Sharon Henson and husband Jimmy of Henderson.



The family will receive friends at Casey Funeral Home, 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday. Memorials may be made to The Gideons International Memorial Bible Program.
