Edwin Thompson

Edwin Thompsonwas born in Henderson County, Tennessee on July 3, 1921 the son of the late Bob and Elzia Benson Thompson.Mr. Thompson was an Air Force veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He retired from Redstone Arsenal where he was an engineer. He was a member of many farm programs and past president of the Farm Bureau in Hardin County. He was a member of the American Legion for 61 years, a member of the VFW and attended the Hurricane Primitive Baptist Church.Mr. Thompson departed this life on Friday, March 14, 2008 at the Veteran's Home in Humboldt, Tennesse at the age of 86 years, 8 months, 11 days.He is survived by 1 brother: Gene Thompson Memphis, Tennessee; 3 sisters: Lela Brown of Milan, Tennessee, Jane Gutter of Jefferson, Oregon, Estelle Taylor of Huntsville, Alabama; 8 nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Neil Thompson.
