Mr. Harris passed away Saturday afternoon at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.
The widower of Grace Harris, who died January 5, 2007, he was a farmer. Mr. Harris was born in Hardeman County to the late William Robert Harris and Virginia Elizabeth "Bess" Lipscomb Harris and lived most of his life here and in Memphis for a short time. He was a member of Grand Junction First United Methodist Church and a graduate of Central High School in Memphis.
Survivors include a cousin, Earl Martin of Memphis; a step-daughter, Patsy A. Manning of Memphis; a step-son, Gerald Shelton of Bolivar; and two grandchildren, Andy Shelton and Angie Shelton.
