EDWARD LEON (NUB) MORRIS
was born in Tishomingo, Mississippi on July 19, 1935 the son of the late Elmer Leon and Sally Pauline Broadway Morris.
On April 5, 1953 he was united in marriage to Delois Godwin, who survives.
Mr. Morris retired from Vulcan Materials where he was a Heavy Equipment Operator. He was a member of Spoken Word Ministry. Mr. Morris loved his family, he loved to play, sing and listen to music with his family and friends. He always helped anyone who was in need. His words to you as you were leaving was always, "Ya'll be purty" (pretty).
Mr. Morris departed this life on January 21, 2012 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 76 years, 6 months and 2 days.
In addition to his wife, Delois of Savannah, Tennessee he is survived by one daughter, Jana Phillips and husband Terry of Adamsville, Tennessee
3 sons, Mike Morris and wife Bettye of Selmer, Tennessee, Ricky Morris and wife Yvonee of Savannah, Tennessee and Phillip Morris and wife Amanda of Savannah, Tennessee
9 grandchildren, Amanda Johnson and husband Stanley, Joey Morris and wife Laura, Carianna Morris, Josh Morris and wife Beth, Matt Phillips, Brooke Kilburn and husband Brad, Brett Phillips, Melody Morris and Maggie Morris
4 great grandchildren, Madison Morris, Colton Morris, Michael Morris and Zach Johnson
one sister, Peggy Jerrolds of Savannah, Tennessee
2 brothers, Bill Morris and Don Morris, both of Adamsville, Tennessee
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Morris Dickerson Zavala and 3 brothers, Vernon, William and Johnny Morris
