Edna Woods

Henderson: Edna Vivian Sherrill Woods, age 98 passed away December 26, 2010 at Chester County Healthcare.She was born in Grady, AR and reared in the Wilson School Community of Chester County, the daughter of the late Rhena Mason and Cora Clement Sherrill. She attended Cross Roads School and in 1931 was married to Haskell Woods. They made their home and farmed on the old home place. Mr. Woods was a carpenter in later years. Mr. Woods died in 1980. She continued to make her home on the same farm she was reared on. Mrs. Woods was a member of the Pleasant Springs United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and was a substitute piano player for many years.She is survived by a son, Danny Joe Woods of Henderson and a daughter, Shirley Fay Beshires of Henderson; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
