Edna S. Hastings Vickers

Mrs. Edna Sue Hastings Vickers, age 76 of Middleton, passed away Tuesday morning, March 22, 2016, in Hickory Valley, TN.

Mrs. Vickers was born in Middleton, Tennessee on Thursday, June 15, 1939 to the late Elbert Ledford and Opal Sparks Ledford. On July 31, 1954, she was united in marriage to Mr. Albert O. Hastings, who preceded her in death on August 15, 1972. She married Mr. Arthur Vernon Vickers on November 26, 1982. Mr. Vickers preceded her in death on November 27, 2010.

Mrs. Vickers was a homemaker and worked in the Middleton High School cafeteria. She was member of the Reaves Methodist Church. She loved flowers, touring and visiting old homes, and she enjoyed time eating out with family. Her past residences include twelve years in East Chicago, IN, and a few years in Shelby County,TN.

Mrs. Edna is survived by her daughter, Teresa Howell (Kenneth) of Hickory Valley, TN; two sisters, Betty Kirk and Dora Howell of Middleton, TN; two grandchildren, Sharon Turner (Glenn), and Joey Howell (Teresa); six great-grandchildren, Michael Tranum, Zeke Turner, Allie Turner, Chelsea Tranum, Cadence Howell, and Easton Howell; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, first husband and second husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Hastings, who passed away in 2004; a sister, Florence Kirk; and a grandchild, Michelle Tranum, who passed away February 2, 2009.
