Edna Omega McCormick

Edna Omega Keen McCormick of Adamsville, Tennessee, was born on February 20, 1917, the daughter of the late Robert and Alpha Keen. She married Lyman Lee McCormick who preceded her in death on August 8, 1995.



Mrs. McCormick was a member of Adamsville Freewill Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, baby sitter, and church nursery worker who loved gardening, shopping, square dancing, and spending time with her family.



Mrs. McCormick passed from this life on Wednesday, May 16, 2007, in Adamsville at the age of 90 years, 2 months, and 26 days. She is survived by her children Betty Sue Hughes and husband Lendon, Ava Jean Nixon and husband Virgil, Linda Kay Scott and husband Jerry, Patsy Ann Dickerson, Shelia Ann Smith and husband Mike, James Leon McCormick, Larry Neal McCormick, Michael Lee McCormick, all of Adamsille, and Jerald Ray McCormick and wife Donna of Houston, Texas; a half-sister Wanda Brooks of Ellenboro, North Carolina;



13 Grandchildren: Teddy Hughes, Sherry Nixon, Keith Nixon, Pamela Scott, Jerry Lynn Scott, Kevin McCormick, Lynn McCormick, April McCormick Jones, Tina Spradlin, Brandi Spradlin Sharit, Kayla McCormick, Jana McCormick, Stephanie Smith



13 Great-Grandchildren: Daniel Hughes, Fahren Hughes, Kirby Nixon, Anna Grace Nixon, Tristan Scott, Ashton Scott, Keisha McCormick, Kelly McCormick, River Moore, Lyndsay McCormick, Colton McCormick, Chance Craddock, Kinsley Grace Sharit. A great-great-grandchild Aslyn.



Other than her parents and her husband, Mrs. McCormick was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Sweat and Shirley Demple Keen.
