Edna Ruth Kennamer

Edna Ruth Ledford Kennamer was born February 6, 1928 in Scottsboro, Alabama, the daughter of the late Fuller and Ester Samson Ledford. In addition to her parents, Mrs Kennamer was preceded in death by 2 sons, Joseph Truman Kennamer and Leonard Earl Kennamer; a daughter, Marsha Dale Ackermann. She died November 27, 2008 at Centennial Hospital in Nashville. Mrs. Kennamer, a homemaker, was united in marriage to Thomas Sentell Kennamer on June 29, 1946.She is survived by her husband Thomas Sentell (Tom) Kennamer of Waynesboro, TN; three daughters, Julia Ann Young of Loretto, TN, Edna Gail Gheesling of Atlanta, Ga, and Wanda Sue Reels of Lawrenceburg, TN; two sons, James Marcus Kennamer of Commons, GA, and Thomas Ray Kennamer of Waynesboro, TN; 21 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren;three sisters, Gladys Rhodes of Centerville, TN, Emma L. Farmer of Scottsboro, AL, Josie Lou Johnson of Scottsboro, AL; two brothers, John David Ledford of Chattanooga, TN, Carl Thomas Ledford of Huntsville, AL; several nieces and nephewsServices were Monday, December 1, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Highland Church of Christ in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Jerry Garner officiating. Burial followed in the North Highland Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
