Mrs. Hodge passed away Wednesday evening at Bolivar General Hospital.
The widow of Woodrow W. Hodge, who died on Dec. 9, 1990, she was a homemaker and farmer. She was born to Oscar and Lillie Dickson Holloway, both of whom preceded her in death, and lived all of her adult life in Hardeman County. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and cooking for others. She especially cared for her friend and neighbor, Mrs. Brown. Mrs. Hodge was a loving and very devoted member of First United Pentecostal Church in Middleton.
Survivors include a daughter and son in law, Jeanette and Stan Shumake of Middleton; three grandsons and their wives, James Robert Mills of Middleton, Terry & Sandy Mills of Pocahontas and Dennis & Wanda Mills of Mitchell, Indiana; seven great grandchildren, Terry Mills, Jr., Morgan, Chelsea, Miranda and Adreana Mills, T. J. Dillingham and Casey Hack; and a sister, Gracie Earnest of Middleton. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Claude Lee Holloway, Howard Holloway and H. John Holloway and two sisters, Beatrice Tipler and Myrtle Smith.
