Edmund Payton of Waynesboro, TN was born March 19, 1959 in Ft. Worth, Texas, the son of the late Ralph and Bobbie Harder Payton. He was united in marriage to Frances Louise Stoots on August 15, 1992.
Mr. Payton was a truck driver with National Carriers and was a member of the Cornerstone Church in Collinwood, Tennessee.
Mr. Payton departed this life on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 51 Years, 4 Days.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Louise Stoots Payton of Waynesboro, TN; daughter, Jennifer Payton Bigley of Kemp, TX; step-daughters, Donna Richards McNabb of Houston, TX, Angela Richards Burks of Abilene, TX; step-sons, Forrest Richards, William Richards, Timothy Richards all of Abilene, TX; grandchildren, Mason Bigley, Christopher and Kyle Richards, Tonia Jordon, Sarah Cleary, Randi Bullock, Monique Wagoner, Chester McDougal, Candace Burks, Jonathan McNabb; great-grandchildren, Kyler and Kaylyn Jordon, Christian Cleary, Braxton and Colter Bullock; a brother, Jack Brown of Abilene, TX; a sister, Jill Brown of Abilene, TX.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Cornerstone Church in Collinwood, Tennessee, with John Hodum and Rick McNabb officiating. Burial will follow in the Keeton Cemetery at Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Visitation will be Friday, March 26, 2010 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 8 am to 10 am at the church.
Pallbearers will be Dale Kriner, Forrest Richards, Tim Richards, Shain Burks, Billy Richards, David Bigley. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary D. Jones and Gary N. Jones.
