EDITH COUNCE PICKERINGWas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on July 9, 1919 the daughter of the late James Russell and Ida Melissa Brown Battles.She was united in marriage to Fred Counce, who preceded his wife in death on July 27, 1972. She was later united in marriage to Hal Pickering, who preceded her in death on February 10, 2007.Mrs. Pickering was a homemaker and a member of Counce First Baptist Church.She departed this life on May 4, 2007 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 87 years, 9 months and 25 days.Mrs. Pickering is survived by 2 daughters, Emma Lou Prentiss and Mamie Blakney, both of Counce, Tennessee.4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildrenShe was also preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
