Edith Elizabeth Moore

Edith Elizabeth Duren Moore of Waynesboro, TN was born June 10, 1915 in Waynesboro, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Samuel Wayne and Viola Belle Morgan Duren. She was united in marriage to Clyde Bernard Moore on October 31, 1931 and he preceded her in death on July 8, 1978.



Mrs. Moore was a homemaker and a member of the Green River Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee where she was the oldest member at her death.



Mrs. Moore departed this life on Friday, September 16, 2011 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 96 Years, 3 Months, 6 Days.



She is survived by son, Julian W. Moore and wife, Ruth of Franklin, TN; daughter, Norma Kea and husband, Larry of Hohenwald, TN; son-in-law, Orbie Brewer of Weaver, AL; daughters-in-law, Donna Moore of Centerville, TN and Margaret Moore of New Hope, AL; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.



In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by sons, Jerome and Roy Moore Sr.; a daughter, Carolyn Brewer; a grandchild, Roy Moore Jr.; brothers, Fred Duren, Jesse Duren, Talmadge Duren; sisters, Clarice Morrison, Virginia Moore, Mary Copeland, Frankie Duren, Lula Belle Duren.



Services will be held on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with officiating Cal Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Waynesboro, directing.
