Edith Meeks

EDITH CARROLL MEEKSwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on April 28, 1914 the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Doshie Hamilton Carroll.In 1958 she was united in marriage to Raymond Gilsey Meeks, who preceded his wife in death on March 22, 1988.Mrs. Meeks was a machine operator with Brown Shoe Company. She was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Meeks departed this life on January 29, 2008 at the Magnolia Regional Health Care Center in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 93 years, 9 months and 1 day.She is survived by 2 step-daughters, Ann Hopper of Sumter, South Carolina and Rozell Lumpkin of Ramer, Tennessee.one step-son, Gilsey Meeks of Tucson, ArizonaShe is also survived by numerous nieces and nephewsMrs. Meeks was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Mae Tucker and Virdie Carroll and 5 brothers, Hobert, Hershel, Odell, Charlie and Bob Carroll.
